The Kingdom of Heaven and the Kingdom of God

I may have gone past where the Lord wanted me to stop but again I am laying the foundation for the warnings that come later in this study. With that said, What is it that Jesus is telling the people and especially the leadership of Israel in regards to their traditions, rituals and habits of custom by the woe's herein stated. Listen closely to His words and do not just skip over them as many have done in the past....we must learn to ask the deep and probing questions on everything and then wait for the answer, in this way we will all learn of Him. We may even be shocked by what He reveals but not surprised because even Paul expresses the same sentiments in his writings, after we have received a clearness of sight, through which Jesus said that He would build His Church.

Matthew 24:1-2, 3, 4-8, 9-14 Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and His disciples came to Him to show Him the buildings of the temple. Jesus said to them, See not all these things? verily I say to you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

As He sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of their coming, and of the end of the world?

Jesus answered them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many (false prophets and anti-christ's) shall come in My name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. You shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that you be not troubled: for all must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. (paralleled in Revelation 6, 8, 9, 12:3-4, 13, 15-18 in the seals, trumpets and vials poured out and the destruction of Babylon, mans Religion with the great harlot and whore of deception.)

Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and you shall be hated of all nations for My name's sake. And many shall be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure to the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness to all nations; and then shall the end come. (parallel passages Mark 13:1-2, 3-13, Luke 21:5-6, 7-19)

For many years I asked what Gospel? because you see there are indeed many gospels what have been drawn from these very same passages of our text. And sadly just as Jesus here states and the Apostle Paul said many are drawn away from Christ Jesus by them. Why is this so? Because of the error of man which lays within our very being and the way that we are taught how to perceive things. Even after having passed through our standards of higher levels of mans education this perception is not cleared nor removed but is in fact become an even heavier burden, as a millstone around our necks. Many spend years and even decades in some form of study all the while under Religions influence thinking that maybe just maybe they will accomplish all that is imaginably required of them. And how or why is this possible? Because it requires them applying their own strength to accomplish their goals and is therefore not acceptable before God their creator. And they come out worst then when they first started.

Matthew 25:1-13, 14 The kingdom of heaven be likened to ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. At midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom comes; go out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. The foolish said to the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but rather go to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered, Verily I say to you, I know you not. Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man comes.

For the kingdom of heaven is as a man traveling into a far country, who calls his own servants, and delivered to them his goods.

We have just looked at the kingdom of heaven and are now moving on into the kingdom of God, which as stated earlier is in consort with the kingdom of heaven. When the Holy Spirit caused those who wrote the synoptic gospels to use different terms He did so to cause us to seek first the kingdom and God's righteousness and thereby increase our learning of Christ as requested of us in Matthew 11:29, 25-30.
