Seeking
God's help, prayer and the Golden or Royal rule of law
Ask,
and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it
shall be opened to you:
For
every one that asks
receives;
and he that seeks
finds;
and to him that knocks
it shall be opened.
Or
what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him
a stone?
Or
if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
If
you then, being evil (mans
true state and condition of heart),
know how to give good gifts to your children, how
much more shall
your Father
which is in heaven give
good things to them that ask Him?
Therefore
all things whatsoever you would that men should do to you, do you
even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
(parallel passage Luke 11:9-13, all
things are based on Love, the setting of all others first and right
and then seeking their good before our own.
This
is known as the dieing to all self will, the taking up of Jesus'
cross daily.)
The
Narrow and Broad Way
Enter
in at the strait gate: for wide (broad
and easy)
the
gate, and broad
the
way, that leads to destruction, and many there be which go in there
at:
Because
strait (hard
to find, for it is like the eye of a needle)
the
gate, and narrow
the
way, which leads to life, and few there be that find it.
Beware
of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but
inwardly they are ravening wolves. (parallel
passage Luke 13:24, more
on the similitude of the ravenous wolves later.
God
has and requires only His Way to enter His kingdom, and it is the
narrow Way. It is the way which woman and then Adam took only in
reverse, they died to God and took on the evils of the world, we
become reborn or re-birthed back into His first kingdom as found and
seen in Genesis 2, through obedience to His revelation of this Way.)
Behavior
and Belief, this is part of the Way
You
shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or
figs of thistles?
Even
so every good tree brings forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree brings
forth evil fruit.
A
good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither
a
corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Every
tree that brings not forth good fruit is hewn (cut)
down, and cast into the fire.
Wherefore
by their fruits ye shall know them. (parallel
passage Luke 6:43-44, man
is likened here as being a tree and it is the fruit of the trees life
that is judged not the tree itself.
That
alone belongs to God in Christ because Christ was been given all
authority and power over all flesh.
By
virtue of His coming as the Son of man in mans flesh and this alone
makes Him LORD of all.
Who
by virtue of this fact now fills us, who believe and receive Him, as
our All in all.
This
too is known and realized in Genesis
2, and the revelation of Christ.)
I Never Knew You,
again this is part of the Way and the warning
Not
every one that says to Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom
of heaven; but he
that does the Will of My Father
which is in heaven.
Many
will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in
Your name? and in Your name cast out devils? and in Your name done
many wonderful works?
And
then will I profess to them, I never knew you: depart from Me, you
that work iniquity.
(parallel passage Luke 13:25-27, here
is a warning, misunderstood because many do not enter through the
narrow gate but rather climb up from outside to force their way into
the kingdom, much like the illegals who come into America by crossing
it's borders illegally.
When
caught and identified they are returned to their native homeland but
here He tells us that these are workers of iniquity and are separated
from Him because of their crimes. This can be coupled to both of mans
Governments and Religions and even more so to mans many Religions because of
the works issue as stated here.)
Build
a Firm Foundation, the broad way is the weaker Foundation
Therefore
whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him
to a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
And
the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat
upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
And
every one that hears these sayings of Mine, and does them not, shall
be likened to a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand:
And
the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat
upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at His doctrine: For He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes. (parallel passage Luke 6:47-49, the risen Lord, Christ Jesus is the sure foundation, the rock or divine revelation, upon which we are built as living stones. Stones hardened by fire, the fires of affliction and the pressures of life much like fine and precious jewels are formed from carbon or coal.)
To see this foundation will require our looking to Genesis 1:26-27 in which we find this: "God said, Let us make man in our (this is the Godhead, Elohim, which is made up of three persons, the Father, Son and Spirit, each being able to function as One unite and of them who are One, and in the ancient passages spoken as Elohim as seen in Deuteronomy 6:4* where it says this, "Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God one LORD") image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth. So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them."
We are first spirit and then become flesh after the separation from God by disobedience to His words spoken in a distortion or twisting, wresting of these same words as seen in Genesis 3. This is why man has had such a problem in both hearing and then seeing what God is actually saying from that point outward and onto this very day, until the beam or speck of sand is remove from our perception.
*John, in his synoptic gospel, reveals Jesus as the “Light of Life” in Whom is found Grace and Truth operating through the law of Love and Faith. Man therefore had the Light of Life operational in him, first as a living spirit in God's own image and likeness of Gen. 1. And then after the waters sprung up from the earth to moisten the elements which made clay from which man is made of, as a potter forms the clay into a vessel (mans second baptism or birth, repeated by Jesus in His birth, before His temptation as fulfilling of all righteousness, where this righteousness was tested by the voice of the flesh, and His ministry begins). Mans body then has more water within it, as a vine or tree requires water. To bring nutrients from the root to the branches, to the leaf and fruit, and this water then returns to the root, giving life to the roots and the toal tree. But John also ties Christ Jesus to mans preexistence which we have in Gen. 1:26-27, as a spirit being, mans first birth (baptism), Who will soon to be mans creator in Gen. 2:7, 18 and then in Gen. 2:21-23, mans second birth (baptism) is seen. In Gen. 2:21-23 is hidden mans entry into the kingdom in proper order. What I mean is this, from man was taken a rib from his side, which God opened (in equates in metaphor to the stripes and pierced side of Christ Jesus, through as a spirit re-birthed we have entrance into Him, as the bread and wine is also figurative speech for eating and drinking of His body and blood to becoming One again). It will become clear later on that this is the ancient path, which was hidden, that this is the Way and Only Way required for entry into Eternal Life in Christ, as revealed in the NT as a mystery now revealed. Here in the beginning man is One with his creator Father, God-Elohim, in total union, communion and fellowship with Them (Deity-Elohim). Man is in effect operating in God's kingdom at this time until Genesis 3 where God losses man in the rebellion of disobedience, mans third birth from Life into death through sin (baptism, a being born again). John also tells us this is the same for Christ Jesus. Because He is the Way and the Life of our returning to God and His kingdom, in God's Way of reversal of the process, not mans.
