We're making progress we're at least in page 18 of my notes and so far there's only 33 pages showing. Now back to 2 Corinthians.
2 Corithians
3:6-14
“Who also
hath made us able ministers of the new testament (Covenant);
not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter kills, but the
spirit gives life. But if the ministration of death, written and
engraved in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel
could not steadfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his
countenance; which glory was to be done away: How shall not the
ministration of the spirit be rather glorious? For if the
ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the
ministration of righteousness exceed in glory. For even that which
was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the
glory that excels. For if that which is done away was glorious,
much more that which remains is glorious. Seeing then that we have
such hope, we use great plainness of speech: And not as Moses, which
put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not
steadfastly look to the end of that which is abolished: But their
minds were blinded: for until this day remains the same vail
untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done
away in Christ.”
Christ
is the fullness of all that the Old Testament teaches and reveals of
Christ from the beginning in Genesis chapter 1 through to Acts chapter 11, at which
point God changes His administration to that of the Holy Spirit totally, and
then together with the Spirit of Christ. For “if”
'we have not the Spirit of Christ we are none of His'
(Romans 8:9) in others words we don't belong to Him nor does He
belong to us. We remain as reprobate, wicked , lawless and useless
and good for nothing (the 6-6-6 of man and his false religion) but good only for
the fire which is Satan's and his comrades lot. But how is this
possible and what else is needed or required? That for which the Holy
Spirit in His first or initial giving to us is to bring us, first to
obedience, then through obedience and in Love to the embracing of death. But not death
as man understands a death but rather as God requires it. Have we
heard His voice? In Zechariah chapter 10: 8 it says this: “I
will hiss (whistle) for them, and gather them; for I
have redeemed them: and they shall increase as they have increased.”
Does this say only the predestined or only those chosen few, are the ones, NO!
What is implied here is that all have an equal right of free choice,
to choose God and His Way. And this verse is linked to Matthew 11:28;
Revelation 22:17 and Isaiah 55:1-3; 1 Timothy 2:4-6.
1 Corinthians 15: 45-58
(Amplified)
“Thus it is written.
The first man Adam became a living being an individual personality;
(back
to verses 42-44 “So
it is with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is
perishing and decaying, but the body that is resurrected is
imperishable immune to decay, immortal. It is sown in dishonor and
humiliation; it is raised in honor and glory. It is sown in infirmity
and weakness; it is resurrected in strength and endued with power. It
is a natural physical body; it is raised a supernatural a spiritual
personality in a body, there is also a spiritual body.”)
the last man Adam, Christ, became a Life-giving Spirit
restoring the dead to spiritual Life.(Genesis
2:7) But it is not the spiritual life which came
first, but the physical and then the spiritual, through Christ. The
first man was from out of the earth, made of dust earthy-minded; the
second Man is the Lord from out of heaven (Genesis
1:26-27, 2:7). Now those who are made of the dust
are like him who was first made of the dust earthy-minded; and as is
the Man from heaven, so also are those who are of heaven,
heavenly-minded. And just as we have borne the image of the man of
dust, so shall we and so let us also bear the image of the Man of
heaven. But I tell you this, flesh and blood cannot become partakers
of eternal salvation and inherit or share in the kingdom of God; nor
does the perishable that which is decaying inherit or share in the
imperishable the immortal. Take notice! I tell you a mystery a secret
truth, an event decreed by the hidden purpose or counsel of God. We
shall not all fall asleep in death, but we shall all be changed
transformed In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the
sound of the last trumpet call. For a trumpet will sound, and the
dead in Christ will be raised imperishable free and immune from
decay (though they be planted in the earth in a coffin or not), and we shall be changed transformed. For this perishable part
of us must put on the imperishable nature, and this mortal part of
us, this nature that is capable of dying must put on immortality
freedom from death. And when this perishable puts on the imperishable
and this that was capable of dying puts on freedom from death, then
shall be fulfilled the Scriptures that say, "Death is swallowed up
utterly vanquished forever in and unto victory" (Isaiah
25:8). “O death, where is your victory? O
death, where is your sting?" (Hosea
13:14) Now sin is the sting of death, and sin
exercises its power upon the soul through the abuse of the Law. But
thanks be to God, Who gives us victory making us conquerors through
our Lord Christ Jesus. Therefore, be firm steadfast, immovable,
always abounding in the work of the Lord always being superior,
excelling, doing more than enough in the service of the LORD, knowing
and being continually aware that your labor of Love in the LORD is
not futile it is never wasted or to no purpose.
This then is the Lord's cup
which we are to share with Him now revealed. Now for the Blood.
Hebrews 9:15-20
“And for this cause he
is the mediator of the new testament (Covenant), that by means of death, for the
redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament (the vow with promise spoken to all man kind in Adam as seen in Genesis 3:15 which contains the following),
they which are called might receive the promise of eternal
inheritance. For where a testament is, there must also of necessity
be the death of the testator (the bruising of the Lord's heal and through death the bruising of Satan's head). For a testament is of force after men
are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator
lives. Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without
blood ( as found in Genesis 3:21) . For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people
according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with
water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and
all the people, Saying, "This is the blood of the testament which God
hath enjoined unto you".”
