For
as Paul reveals all who partake of it (our Marriage Feast) do so in an unworthy manor and are therefore guilty of both the blood and the cross of
Christ because they have no knowledge of Him. We can not crucify
again the LORD, which this ritual, sacrament of habit and common
practice does. It does so because of the blindness and veil which
remains covering mans heart, eyes and ears in the deceitfulness of
religion.
I
bring to mind the story of Lazarus the friend of Christ who died and
was four days under the stone of the tomb as recorded by John in
chapter 11. Sometime back while in a church service the Lord gave me
revelation of what this story meant which I shared with the
congregation there at the time. The grave clothes and binding are
metaphors of all that religion is and does and Lazarus is our being
the coming out the loosing from among them found in 2 Corinthians 6:12-7:1. Just
as Abram came out from Ur and Israel was summoned from Egypt and Noah
and his house were summoned from the doomed world into the arch of
Christ. Now we'll get back to our study:
“The next day John (the Baptist who is in the spirit of Elijah) seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, "Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world"...... And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, "Behold the Lamb of God!”
There are 27 verses which reference the Lamb or the Lamb of God, in the book of Revelation. A book steeped in Hebrew imagery and metaphors which causes mass confusion for many. Just as Jesus' and Paul's language does for the unlearned, those without the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth and or the Spirit of Christ.
Romans 8:3-4
“For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”
This is to be the end result of our being placed by God within the first estate, with the deposit of the Holy Spirit as our comforter, tutor, teacher and trainer. Israel had only the Law as its tutor, with its statutes and ordinances. Here we can see the cup as being our flesh being filled as it were with sin or the very nature of Satan, the strong man until the ontological essence of the stronger one the Spirit of Christ moves in.
“He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.”
All of Isaiah 53 causes problems with Israels priests. Some have erased a period of one hundred to one hundred thirty or fifty years from their history. In order to remove this chapter and to deny it and Christ's existence. A block of offense and a stone of stumbling for them, the cup of the garden again revealed.
Acts 13:38-39
“Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.”
So the Law of Moses does not justify any one. Why? Because it only deals with mans external and material world and requires man's self sufficiency in some kind of works proving obedience or compliance to and with the Law and because it is weak and beggarly to say the least. So it was not able to do any thing but judge man, and condemn to death as the literal letter, except through Christ Jesus. He was the Law giver and as such knew all its meanings and ramifications. For the Law was and still is Spiritual but to see it one has to be born of the Spirit again, for it is righteous. To see this just study the sermon on the Mount found in Matthew chapters 5-7. Here again we find the cup as Jesus told the religious establishment of His day all they could do was to wash the outside of the cup as they had NO revelation of what was unseen on the inside.
