The Kingdom of Heaven and the Kingdom of God

Continuing with Paul's warnings

Colossians 1:21-29 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now has He reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable (beyond reproach, unrepresentable) in His sight: If you continue in the faith grounded and settled, and not moved away from the hope of this gospel, which you have heard, which was preached (proclaimed) to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister.

I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for His body's sake, which is the church: Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation (stewardship of the mysteries) of God which is given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God; the mystery which had been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to His saints (this is promised to Christ's true disciples in Mat. 13:11, Mark 4:11): To whom God would make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect (consummate human integrity and virtue, to bring about the full grown, adult, of full age, mature) in (through) Christ Jesus: Whereto I also labor, striving according to His working, which works in me mightily.

1Thessalonis 4:1-12 Furthermore then I beseech you, and exhort by the Lord Jesus, that as you have received of us how you ought to walk and to please God, so you would abound more and more. For you know what commandments I gave you by the Lord Jesus. For this is the Will of God, your sanctification, that you should abstain from (all forms of spiritual) fornication: That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honor; Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God: That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because the Lord is the avenger of all such, as I also have forewarned you and testified. For God has not called us to uncleanness, but to holiness. He therefore that despises, despises (to set aside, disregard, to thwart the efficacy of anything, nullify, make void, frustrate, to reject, to refuse, to slight) not man, but God, who has also given to us His, Holy Spirit (consisting of both Father and Son). But as touching brotherly love you, I need not write to you again: for you yourselves are taught of God to love one another. And indeed you do it toward all the brethren which are in all Macedonia: but I beseech you, brethren, that you increase more and more; And that you study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as I commanded you; That you may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that you may have lack of nothing.

1Thessalonis 5:12-24 I beseech you, to know them which labor among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And thereby be at peace among yourselves. Now I exhort you, and warn them that are unruly, comfort the feeble minded, support the weak, be patient toward all men. See that no one render evil for evil to any; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men. Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the Will of God in (through) Christ Jesus concerning you. Quench not the Spirit. Despise not prophesyings. Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless to the coming of our Lord, Christ Jesus. Faithful is He that called you, who also will do it.

From here I will look at the opposition to this Gospel of God's Grace perpetrated against Paul and those who came to trusting God and His Word, the LORD of Lord's, Christ Jesus. As revealed within Paul's Epistles, to do this I will look to 2Timothy 2 for a beginning point.
